Rupee Undergoes Downward Correction against US Dollar


Rupees End of day at Rs174.89 against the USD.
Examiner says rupee is in "revision mode".
Pakistani rupee has deteriorated by 11.01% since July 1, 2021.


The rupee kept on enrolling minor misfortunes against the US dollar on Wednesday in the midst of a slight increase in greenback interest from shippers.

 

As indicated by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), the rupee shut at Rs174.89 against the US dollar in the interbank market.

 

Addressing Geo.tv, Pakistan-Kuwait Investment Company's Head of Research and Development Samiullah Tariq said: "Pakistani rupee appreciated altogether because of IMF arrangement, better exchange numbers and Sukuk inflow."

 

It is relevant to make reference to here that the nearby cash had been beating the competition consistently following the International Monetary Fund's (IMF) endorsement for its 6th survey of the $6 billion program.

With the new abatement of 0.22%, the Pakistani rupee has deteriorated by 11.01% (or Rs17.35) since the beginning of the current financial year on July 1, 2021, information delivered by the national bank uncovered.

The rupee had kept a descending pattern for the beyond nine months. It has lost 14.85% (or Rs22.62) until this point in time, contrasted with the record high of Rs152.27 recorded in May 2021.

 

"Rupee is in rectification mode," Tariq said, foreseeing that the Pakistani cash should exchange the scope of Rs174-176.
